Happy Trunks are made in the same city that elephants are born and raised...Chiang Mai, Thailand. Harem pants of all kinds are handmade in this magical land by local seamstresses in a relaxed and peaceful environment. This type of atmosphere allows their creative minds to craft these beautiful styles that we are so proud to offer!
We are so grateful we found such an amazing place with so many talented people,we decided the only way to run our business is to work closely with our seamstresses to make sure they have a fair salary, as well as safe and comfortable working conditions.
Happy Trunks is far more than just a clothing company selling ridiculously comfortable bohemian pants. Austin, The Founder, fell in love with elephants during his stay in Thailand, but also recognized a growing problem. Often times elephants work as tourist attractions, chained, with little to no medical care, badly malnourished, and mistreated.
Thailand is home to many different Elephant Rescue Sanctuaries. They make sure all the elephants they adopt are in their natural habitat. No riding, painting, or chains for these Elephants. Donations go directly towards keeping Elephants in a compassionate community with medical care, proper food, and land for them to walk free 24 hours a day. Happy Trunks LOVES and supports these beautiful places that many elephants call home SO much… that we have decided to donate a percentage of all our profits towards Elephant Rescue Efforts.
